About Me

Jolanna "Jodi" Montgomery is a U.S. Army Veteran originally from Port Arthur Texas. After serving her military term at Fr. Bragg, NC; Jolanna went on to partner with the US Military as a Contractor overseas in areas of the Middle East including on bases in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait. Jolanna was inspired to change careers and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. She has also completed a Clinical track Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Houston in Texas. During her educational career she also completed internships at one time serving military families of Fort Bragg and Pop Airforce base with CPS investigations in North Carolina and also served in a Domestic violence family center. During another internship in TX, Jodi also helped to facilitate group therapy and education groups for persons with substance abuse disorders as well as Schizophrenia. Professional work experience includes a vast skill sets in the complex healthcare field working with diverse populations. Including inpatient rehab, case management, hospice, memory care, home health as well as short term and long term care facilities. Jolanna has provided psychotherapy for residents of nursing facilites, assisted living residents as well as tele therapy for adults of all ages. Jodi also facilites support groups for nursing facility residents, Cancer patients, families of long term care residents, as well as Caregiver support groups. Jodi has been a field instructor for many years for various schools including University of Houston, TSU, Praire View, Walden University and Lady of the Lake. Mrs. Montgomery currently offers virtual individual therapy part time as well as support groups. Jolanna is a Grief Certified Professional as well as Certified Tele-mental health professional and Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor approved by the Texas Behavarioal Council.
